The daughter of Matriarch Benezia, Liara is an asari researcher who studies the Protheans. She joins Commander Shepard to help take down rogue SPECTRE Saren Arterius.

  2. She is over 100 years old and has studied Prothean ruins for over 50 years
  3. She is somewhat shy and prefers her work to socializing
  4. Eventually, she becomes the new Shadow Broker
  5. She is considered to be Shepard's soulmate, platonically or otherwise
